Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is submitted to the outside provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those search terms. When someone contacts us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Like most hosted sites, the service may log an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and visit time. We use aggregated technical information to maintain the service and understand which reference pages are useful. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics or advertising measurement where used.
How Limited Data Is Used
Limited information supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements to the reference material. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, Archives material, and third-party search tools. The privacy rules of those services apply to information submitted after leaving this site. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers may process technical logs for us. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic information described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires disclosure.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection, and routine logs are retained only for as long as the stated operational needs require. There are no visitor accounts, passwords, or personal site profiles to manage here.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. Contact us if a minor has provided information, and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Choices
The Tennessee Information Protection Act describes access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt-out rights for covered private data controllers, subject to its exceptions. Because this site keeps very little visitor information, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and operational logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Tennessee, Montgomery County, and Clarksville public records remain under the control of their own custodians, so a request about one must go to the office holding it.
Policy Changes
A revised policy will appear here when changes are made. Continued use after the new version is posted indicates acceptance of that version.
